This "judge" ("Master" David S. Forrest) gets his rocks off on highly acrimonious conflict in his courtroom. Hearings for contempt against parenting plans or emergency hearings to address changes in financial circumstances are rarely heard within 3 months of filing. In addition, there is a failure of this judge to hear information from both parties in a dispute, resulting in rulings that are inconsistent with fact. This judge is highly gender-biased and appoints guardians who have the same gender-biased outlook on the legal system. Objections to unfavorable rulings filed by male litigants are never read.
Rulings issued by this "judge" leave gaping holes for misinterpretation, and coming down to the wire on requiring an interpretation of the law, this judge will leave for holiday and seemingly leave nobody in charge to address such shortcomings. The entire Cheshire County Superior Court is so appallingly mismanaged that cases can go for years without resolution. This process is not remedied by judges who would prima facie appear to have some sort of vested interest in dragging disputes out to the maximum extent possible.
Hearings for contested matters are often scheduled 6-9 months out, and misconduct by litigants is consistently rewarded with additional continuances. Contempt of court doesn't seem to even warrant a slap on the wrist, making rulings completely meaningless garbage. Rulings are inconsistent, as the magic number of objections, regardless of validity, to have a ruling overturned upon "reconsideration" is two. With perfect consistency, male litigants are not afforded the generosity of even having reconsideration motions heard or even read.

ReplyDeleteI also find Master Forrest an incompetent, arrogant, bias judge. He is always against the male defendant. His ruling are absurd even in the face of over whelming evidence. He assigns incompetent bias GALs to cases. He screams and yells, is impatient an ill suited for the position. And I agree with your assessment of the entire Cheshire County Superior Court. The Marital Dept is a disaster their bias, bigotry and misandry, is only surpassed by their arrogance. They will often do favors for attorneys they like, give out false or misleading legal advice, and generally are miserable people.

ReplyDeleteIf you think Chesire County is bad ....welcome to Carroll County with Master Barber. She has had 11 complaints in the judical committee and what happens with them? I haven't seen or even talked to my daughters by the masters order, in a year and a half. I wasn't even the one having the affair.....

ReplyDeleteI couldn't agree with any of you more. Master Forrest takes no interst in hearing both sides of any divorce and if one of the parties has a higher priced lawyer, such as Jim Tenn, then you can forget ever having your chance to say anything.

ReplyDeleteI now know what my role is in life in the world according to Forrest. I am a man, therefore I have no rights to property or to be a part of my children’s lives and see them grow up. If you are a man and you go in front of Forrest you will be labeled as a “Paycheck” and nothing more. When my children grow up and are in trouble is Forrest going to help them then? When they are so sick in the head because their sick mother has warped their young impressionable minds is Forrest going to pay for the years of counseling? We all know the answers here.
